From Kraków Airport to Nowy Sącz it is roughly 120 km (75 miles), and the drive takes about 1 h 45 min in good conditions. From Katowice Airport it is about 210 km (130 miles), or about 2 h 40 min. In winter, on Friday afternoons and in Kraków traffic jams you need to allow extra time, which is why we agree the timing with you.
By public transport between Nowy Sącz and the airport you have to change in Kraków, and late at night or early in the morning there is practically nothing running. Flight at 06:00: what time to leave Nowy Sącz?
With checked luggage, it is best to be at the airport about 2 hours before departure. For a 06:00 flight from Kraków, that means leaving Nowy Sącz at about 01:45, and an hour earlier for Katowice. Give us your flight time and we'll agree the exact pickup time when you book.

Airport parking or a transfer?
If you live in the region, driving yourself makes sense when you fly alone and for a short trip. A transfer usually works out better when:
- you fly out early in the morning or come back at night and don't want to drive tired,
- you are away for a week or longer and your car would sit in a paid car park the whole time,
- several of you are travelling, with children or with a lot of luggage,
- you don't want to ask a relative for a night-time run to the airport and back.

Transfers for one person, a family or a group
Travelling alone or as a couple? We'll send a car (up to 4 passengers) or a Škoda Superb. A family with luggage travels in an 8-seat or 9-seat minibus (7 or 8 passengers), and a larger group in a 19-seat Mercedes Sprinter (18 passengers + driver) – see our fleet. Which airport is closest to Nowy Sącz?
Kraków Airport is the closest to Nowy Sącz. From the eastern part of the region, Rzeszów Airport can be slightly closer, and from Krynica-Zdrój the airports in Slovakia are sometimes closer. Katowice is the longest drive, but it sometimes has the flight you are looking for. Tell us the airport when you book and we'll agree the timing.

How is an airport transfer different from a taxi?
You book a transfer in advance, for a specific flight. You know the price before the journey, the driver comes to collect you and goes straight to the airport, and for pickups the driver checks whether your flight is delayed.

Yes, large luggage is standard. If you have a lot of it, we'll attach a luggage trailer to the minibus.
