Wedding transport and guest minibuses near Nowy Sącz

Wedding guest transport in and around Nowy Sącz

You enjoy your own wedding; we make sure every guest gets to the ceremony and, after the oczepiny, gets safely home. (The oczepiny are the late-night games when the bride's veil comes off – a highlight of a Polish wedding, usually around midnight.) With our minibus and driver, every guest can raise a glass without worrying about the drive.

We have been driving wedding guests since 2006. We cover Nowy Sącz and the whole of Nowy Sącz County – including Stary Sącz, Grybów, Krynica-Zdrój, Łososina Dolna, Chełmiec and Korzenna – as well as Limanowa and Gorlice counties. Guests from other cities can be collected from anywhere in Poland.

Book all your wedding-day transport with us, or only the parts you need:

  • Taking guests to the ceremony and the wedding venue
  • Taking the wedding band from the venue to the groom's house
  • Driving guests' cars home so they can join the toasts
  • Taking guests home after the oczepiny
  • Picking guests up from the airport
  • Bringing guests from other cities

A guest who uses a wheelchair travels in our vehicle with a fold-out wheelchair ramp without leaving their wheelchair – we have one such vehicle, so mention this when you book. Before the wedding, we can also provide a minibus for the hen party or stag do.

Check whether your date is free

Tell us the wedding date, the venue address and roughly how many guests. We'll check whether we have minibuses free and suggest how many you need.

Getting guests to the ceremony and the venue

Guests don't have to find the church or a parking space. They just get on board.

We usually start at the groom's house, then go to the bride's house and from there to the church or register office. The driver waits until the ceremony is over and takes everyone to the venue. We build in time for the parents' blessing, congratulations and photos outside the church, and for any wedding gates on the way (a village custom where neighbours block the road until the wedding party offers treats).

For this we use the 19-seat Mercedes Sprinter (18 passengers) with adjustable seats and individual air conditioning, and 8- and 9-seat Volkswagen Caravelle minibuses for smaller groups. For more guests we combine several vehicles or book a coach through our partners. Tell us the number of guests and we'll choose the vehicles.

Guests flying in from abroad

Guests flying in for the wedding? We pick them up from Kraków Airport (KRK) or Katowice Airport (KTW) with one of our airport transfers, and our drivers speak English. Guests can call or write to us in English, and can compare their options in our guide to getting from Kraków Airport to Nowy Sącz.

Bride and groom beside a grey Škoda Superb decorated for the wedding – wedding car with driver, Nowy Sącz

Bridal car with driver

A grey Škoda Superb with a brown leather interior and our driver: all you need to arrive calmly at your own wedding. The car is always hired with our driver, in Nowy Sącz and the surrounding area, including Limanowa and Gorlice. It takes you to the ceremony, then to your photo shoot and on to the venue.

  • The driver follows the plan and addresses agreed in advance and keeps an eye on the time while you are busy with your guests.
  • The driver parks, waits and pulls up right at the entrance.
  • Nobody in the family has to drive (that job usually falls to the best man or a brother), so nobody misses the toasts.
  • The Superb seats five, so the two of you travel with your best man and maid of honour.
  • It is quiet inside, and three-zone climate control keeps you cool on a hot day, so make-up and hair last into the evening.
  • We decorate the car the way you want: with or without flowers, in colours to match the bouquet.

Leave time in your plan for wedding gates, still common in villages around Nowy Sącz: have some treats ready for the people at the gate, and the driver will know to stop. Planning an outdoor photo shoot? Tell us the location in advance so we can check the access – not every field track suits a saloon car. See the Škoda Superb and its interior on our fleet page. We don't offer vintage cars or a horse-drawn carriage.

Taking guests home: minibuses wait outside the venue

After the oczepiny the minibuses wait outside the venue. Guests get home without hunting for a taxi at night, and you don't have to wonder whether everyone got back safely.

Many thousands of wedding guests have already got home this way.

We take guests home in 8- and 9-seat minibuses (Volkswagen Caravelle), adding a car when needed. A small minibus gets down narrow country lanes more easily, and guests don't have to wait for a large group to gather.

We agree the pickup time with you. It is usually about half an hour after midnight, right after the oczepiny, when most guests want to leave. If you prefer fixed times, we can run two rounds: an earlier one for older guests and families with children, and a later one for those who stay until the end. On request one minibus can come earlier, for example at 21:00 or even 18:00.

Driving guests' cars home

Some guests want to take their car home before they raise the first toast. We can help in two ways.

The guest drives their own car and our driver follows in a second car, then brings them back to the venue.

Or the guest doesn't leave the party at all: two Sprint-Trans drivers take the car home, and they don't miss a minute.

Either way, the guest goes home by minibus after the wedding and wakes up with the car outside their house, not in the venue car park. Tell us how many guests want their car taken home, and we'll agree where from and when.

Transport for the wedding band

The musicians spend the morning setting up at the venue, then have to get to the groom's house in time. We'll get them there on schedule.

From there the band travels with the guests in the larger minibus.

The instruments will fit: we can attach a luggage trailer to the Volkswagen Caravelle, and the T5 also has an extended boot.

How many minibuses do you need to take guests home?

We match the number of vehicles to the number of guests and the wedding plan. As a rough guide:

Number of guestsVehicles for the journey home
Under 1001 small minibus
100–1391 small minibus and a car, or 2 small minibuses
140–1802 small minibuses and a car
Over 1803 small minibuses, or 2 small minibuses and a large minibus

A small minibus has 8 or 9 seats; a large minibus has 18–19 seats. What really matters is not the total number of guests but how many of them go home by minibus and to how many different places. It helps to add a question to the invitation: "Will you go home by minibus after the wedding? To which town?"

What to have ready when you call about wedding transport

All we need is the wedding date, the addresses (groom, bride, church or register office, venue), roughly how many guests will go home by minibus and the towns they're going back to. Add any extra needs, such as transport for the band, driving guests' cars home or a guest who uses a wheelchair. For the bridal car, add the time of the ceremony, the photo shoot location and your ideas for decorations. If you don't know something yet, give us an estimate – you can confirm numbers later.

We'll plan the routes. Around Nowy Sącz many venues are outside town, local roads are narrow and driving between villages takes longer than it looks on the map.

Wedding transport: questions

Do we have to provide transport for wedding guests?

There's no obligation – it's a gesture of hospitality. But transport is almost essential when the venue is outside town or in the mountains, there are no night buses, parking at the venue is limited, or some guests are older or have come from far away. On a smaller budget many couples book only the journey home after the wedding.

Minibuses or taxis for taking guests home?

Taxis can be enough when the wedding is in town and guests live nearby. With a venue outside town and guests from several places, minibuses booked in advance are more reliable: you know the times and number of runs, and nobody waits at night for a free taxi.

How do we tell guests when the minibuses leave?

Give guests the return times in advance: in the invitation, on cards on the tables or through the master of ceremonies a few minutes before departure. Ask someone, such as the best man, to coordinate with a guest list and the driver's phone number, so the two of you don't have to take calls about minibuses on the day.

How early should we book wedding transport?

As soon as you've set the date and booked the venue – in the wedding season, dates go quickly. You can confirm the number of guests later. Call us and we'll check whether your date is free.

Can the vehicles be decorated?

We decorate the bridal car the way you want. Ask about decorating the guest minibuses when you book and we'll agree it together.

How much does wedding transport cost?

We quote every wedding individually. The price depends mostly on the number of guests and vehicles, the length of the routes, the number of runs after the oczepiny and the drivers' working hours – for the bridal car, on the date, the route and how long you need it. Two weddings with the same number of guests can cost different amounts. Call or write to us with your plan for the day and we'll give you a price.
